  • Recognition of Dan Rice, President of Ohio and Erie Canalway, for outstanding contributions to the Canalway and as a former member of the Ohio to Erie Trail board of directors.

2026 Planning

The board held a goal-setting workshop to define priorities for the coming year and affirmed that hiring a full-time executive director is the top priority for 2026. Early work will also begin on improving our website and digital presence, with full development guided by the new director. Board members will begin preliminary efforts to enhance visitor experience through stronger branding and signage, advance a sustainable financial model, and deepen relationships with trail managers, towns, businesses, and other partners.
